Overnight the government  issued the list of critical workers. Remember the key message is that if you can possibly keep your child at home then you should do so as this will help prevent the spread of the virus. New guidance on social distancing Everyone should begin to minimise social interaction with other people in order to reduce the spread of coronavirus COVID-19. This is known as social distancing. This includes: Avoiding large gatherings and smaller public spaces such as pubs, cinemas, restaurants, theatres, bars, clubs Avoiding non-essential use of public transport and varying your travel times to avoid rush hour Working from home where possible Avoiding gatherings with friends and family Using telephone or online services to contact your GP or other essential services Everyone should be doing these things, but the government advises that anyone who has an increased risk of severe illness from coronavirus (COVID-19) should be strict in following these measures. If you live alone and you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), however mild, stay at home for 7 days from when your symptoms started.
