Key Persons

A key person is here to help you and your child settle into Pre-School. The key person has a special responsibility for working with a small number of children getting to know them well, giving them the reassurance to feel safe and cared for and building a warm trusting relationship with them and their parents. Your child’s key person is primarily responsible for attending to the child’s physical needs and care routines.

Your child’s key person will contribute to their learning journal which will include activity photos, written observations and pieces of your child’s work. You are welcome to view these at any time as well as at  termly parent consultations. Please bring in any photos or brochures of outings, trips, holidays or family occasions like weddings or christenings to add to your child’s learning journal. To ensure that your child has at least one key person at each session we work in teams.
